What is uLesson Coding School?
uLesson Coding School is a Live Tutoring service which offers 1:1 coding lessons to kids aged 4-18 years.
What coding languages would my kids learn on uLesson Coding School?
uLesson Coding School offers 1:1 live tutor classes in Blockly, Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. However, we also teach concepts in machine learning, artificial intelligence and more.
Does my child need coding experience/knowledge to learn at uLesson Coding School?
No, we teach all courses from scratch. This enables the child to gain access to the right knowledge from DevKids.
How do I sign up for my child?
Please visit https://code.ulesson.com/ to sign up.
Can I sign up with a mobile phone?
Yes, you can sign up with a mobile phone. However, accessing the dashboard and attending classes require a tablet or a laptop.
How many sessions are in each course plan?
DevKids offers 1 month, 3 months and 12 months plans for each course. A child gets to attend 2 sessions per week. This implies that a 1 month plan has 8 sessions, while a 3 months plan has 24 sessions and 96 sessions for the 12months plan.
What does the free session entail?
The free session is a demonstration of an actual session with a tutor. Parents get to experience the process and learn more about uLesson Coding School.
What countries is uLesson Coding School available in?
uLesson Coding School is currently available to all kids residing in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South-Africa, UK and US.
How much does each course cost?
The price depends on the course you purchase;
1 Month – ₦45,000/$150
3 Months – ₦120,000/$380
12 Months – ₦450,000/$1400
How do I pay for a session?
You can pay for a subscription plan that has a certain amount of sessions in that bundle. However, you cannot pay for a specific session.
What methods of payment are available?
You can pay for a course via Paystack or Flutterwave depending on your location. You can also call +234 7000 222 333 to speak to a Counsellor.
How do I confirm payment?
A confirmation email is sent to your email address to inform you of the success of your payment.
Can I cancel payment/subscription and get a refund?
DevKids doesn’t allow for subscription cancellation.
Can I pay in installments?
At the moment, we ONLY offer a one time payment option for our plans.
Do I have access to all the content on the platform for a duration when I pay for a subscription plan?
You purchase a subscription plan under a particular course. A course has a specially curated curriculum for a 1 month, 3 month and 12 month plan. You only have access to the course you made payment for.
Do I need login details for my kid to have access to the platform?
No, the same login details used to register are the same for both the parent and child.
Can I add more than one kid on the platform?
At the moment, uLesson Coding School ONLY allows the registration of 1 child. However, we are fervently working on making the multiple child feature available soon.
How can I monitor my child’s performance?
You can see how many classes your child has taken and the ones left. More information about your child’s progress will be provided over the course of the classes.
How many hours are each session?
Each class will last an hour long.
Will I get a session reminder notification?
Yes, you’ll get an email notification 24 hours before the scheduled session so that you and your child are well informed ahead of time.
Can I reschedule my child’s session?
To make scheduling easy, we reserve the same time block on any (2) days of the week that you have selected. We know sometimes emergencies happen so in the rare event that you need to reschedule send us an email at help@ulessoncodingschool.com and we’ll take care of it.
Can I schedule more than one class in a day?
No, you can only schedule 2 sessions (2hrs in total) per week. One hour per day on two separate days at times convenient for you and your child.
Can classes be taken in groups?

Does my child get to have a single tutor for the entire duration of the purchased sessions?
Each child will get a tutor assigned to them for each 1:1 session. Group classes will be assigned a tutor as well.
Due to the nature of the languages being taught in each course, a different tutor might be assigned based on these.
