uLesson Coding School: Live Coding Classes for Kids 

Two weeks ago, we launched uLesson Coding School, a platform that offers Live Coding Classes for Kids – the next generation of builders and inventors. 

When last did you interact with a piece of digital technology? The world as we know it is rapidly changing. From hardware devices (phones, computers, tablets, wearables such as your smartwatch, to software (baking apps, transportation apps, health, food services, to entertainment, gaming, and video-conferencing for work), technology plays an important role in our lives.

This is the new reality and one that isn’t changing anytime soon. 

“From the music we stream, to the way we consume entertainment, work and learn, technology, powered by Computer science, is changing the way we live.”

While this opens up a world of exciting new possibilities, this also has certain implications. Automation, driven by technology will mean we will live safer, healthier, and more productive lives.

This will also mean a drastic change with millions of jobs all around the world replaced by technological advancements. 

This presents a golden opportunity. According to Dell Technologies and Institute for the Future (IFTF), 85% of the jobs that will be available by 2030 haven’t been created yet.

Therefore, this means that we need to prepare our children for a world that is more dynamic than we have currently experienced. 

It is on this premise that we launched uLesson Coding School, an online tutoring service to teach coding to 4-18 year olds. Since launch, we’ve had users from over 13 different countries across 5 continents. 

Why Coding?

At uLesson Coding School, we believe coding is for everyone. As kids learn to solve problems, work through projects and learn through play, they gain important skills necessary for thriving in the 21st century. Some of the key benefits of coding are that it:

1. Teaches problem solving & critical thinking – kids learn how to think through problems while working on live projects. They can go on to apply this skill is other areas of their lives. This skill can can be applied to other areas of their lives.

3. Improves communication – from idea to execution, kids learn how to communicate clearly.

We offer Live Coding Classes for Kids, which makes them more interactive and engaging and ensures students receive hands-on support. Each child is supported by a personal tutor who is dedicated to their success. This also means that students are not limited by geography and can get connected to the very best teachers regardless of their location. 

Our tutors have strong technical backgrounds,  made up of academic, professional, and years of experience teaching. Our curriculum is built on Harvard’s Creative Computing Curriculum which ensures that our lessons are globally relevant.
